Hi! My name is Esther Grifoll and I am a pharmacist originally from Barcelona, Spain. The process of transferring my RPh license to the U.S. started in 2005, when I moved from Barcelona to North Carolina and had to take my first test called Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGE).
Of all the tests I took over the following years to meet each state-specific requirements, I think California has one of the most challenging, which is the California Practice Standards and Jurisprudence Examination (CPJE).
The CPJE exam was difficult for me to pass, not only because the content is broad and includes both clinical and law questions, but also because I could not find a CPJE-specific book. However, I have always been an organized and perseverant student and was determined to pass this exam as well.
I started typing these notes and enhanced them after studying, attempting and failing the CPJE exam multiple times. This 90-pages booklet is the result of my personal odyssey with the CPJE exam. Studying this booklet prepared me to finally pass the exam, with confidence, and Iām very proud to hear that these notes have helped many more pharmacy students achieve the same goal.
Good Luck!
I wish you the best,
Esther
